We had SUCH a wonderful stay with our one-year-old here over the holidays! We booked a junior suite which was a stunning corner room with floor to ceiling windows and great views - it was the perfect size for a family of three. The staff was wonderful, very attentive and so kind to our baby, even playing with her in the lobby and offering stickers. Our room was stocked with a crib, extra blankets and pillows, baby soap, a fridge, and more! We were very comfortable here for nearly a week and could have stayed longer. Also loved the thoughtful touches like morning coffee and evening prosecco in the lobby!
If you know NYC you already know how phenomenal this location is - so much is walkable and then the subway is right there if you want to explore even farther. We will absolutely be back!
Rooms are very dark. No good overheard lighting, just spot lights really. There were buttons to turn on the lights and they took awhile to react/actually turn the light on. Bathroom was small, did not have good lighting. Bed was comfortable enough but a little soft for my linking. I did not get room service the first day despite asking for it. I got room service the 2nd day and the cleaning staff made up the room nicely. There was a weird thumping noise even though I was on the top floor. I think it may have been my room being close to the washing machines, but it was quite at night and I was able to sleep well.
I was charged in error for 3 items in the room (2 snacks and 1 drink). I brought this to the hotel's attention and they removed the charge. However it was unprofessional that this error was made in the first place and stressed the importance if diligently always checking your hotel receipts.
Hotel was in a very good location and I slept well. Those are the 2 main perks.
I was truly captivated by the elegant minimalist design of the bathrooms at Hyatt Union Square, the deep black tones added a touch of elegance. The day bar was an absolute revelation, offering an experience that left me eager to return. Highly recommended!
The rooms are small, old and mouldy showers. Def in need of a major overhaul. Staff are methodically working and do not go over or beyond. Pillows are as old as the hotels. Could not get an early check in or late checkout. We saw a coffee …
Hands down worst hotel I ever stayed at. It was obvious that they went with the cheapest material they could for the rooms, as shower door was leaking and the faucet was way too close to the sink to wash our hands properly. We were …
I've stayed here multiple times and it's been an excellent experience each time. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well designed, with complementary snacks, teas, and water. The staff are very attentive, warm, and informative. Definitely recommended, and I'll definitely be back.
As someone who traveled 10+ times in 2023x this is the noisiest I have stayed. The AC was loud, but the real nightmare was the service elevator. It made a constant, strong humming noise that kept me up all night for the first two days. It took two room changes and a helpful employee to figure out the cause. To be fair, the location and facilities are great for the price, and most employees were very friendly. The only exception was the front desk person who helped me change rooms impatiently and never mentioned the noise was from the elevator. Really disappointed and had to share here, because I stayed for over a week and got zero survey from Hyatt, which is not what I've experienced at Marriott or Hilton.
Had a great stay at Hyatt Union Square. Location is excellent with easy train access. Room was in good shape, housekeeping was attentive and kept the room in order. Front desk staff were accommodating and friendly. Would stay at this property again.
